Next Step: REMODELING
Our effort has now shifted to raising for funds to repair the water damaged areas throughout the facility. The building had been left vacant for over 2 years and in that time the previous owner neglected the basic maintenance of the property. All the snow fall and rain appears to have been stagnant on parts of the roof which has resulted in the severe damage of the roof framing structure.
The estimated repair cost is close to $50,000. In addition, the mechanical heating and cooling units on the roof are no longer in working order due to missing parts. The estimated cost of replacing the unit is around $35,000.

ABOUT US
Masjid Al Farooq may not have been around as long as many places of worship in the chicagoland area. However, we have become an integral institution in the area; a true testament to the greatness of the Islamic religion. When religion is taught correctly and its fundamental principles are property communicated, this is recognized by all as a model worthy of emulation. We are tirelessly and truly working towards adhering to the teachings of The Holy Qur'an and following the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (Peace & Blessings Be Upon Him) so as never to go astray.
PROGRAMS
Masjid Al Farooq functions includes but is not limited to the following:
- Weekend school for tutoring school program, teaching both Islam and secular subjects such as English and Mathematics.
- Teach a full-time hifz (the memorization) of the Holy Quran to the children.
- Teaching essential history, fundamentals and principles of the Islamic religion.
- Forum for discussing the Sunnah and Hadith.
- Adult literacy program (ESL) for reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
- General G.E.D. certificate program.
- Computer job training for adults.
- Life experience counseling program.
- Da'wah corner for non-Muslims.
- Outreach programs for the neighborhood.
- Food drive program.
- Sister's medical assistance program.
- Visiting the sick.
- Assisting our elders.
- Assisting sisters that just had a baby.
- Giving support to a sister that may have lost their loved one.
- Teenage gang, smoking, and alcohol assistance program.
- Janazah program.
